Are you our next Accountant?

The Role

You will be joining a growing online/virtual CPA firm that is one of the Canadian leaders in helping small businesses leverage the benefits of cloud-based technology. In your role as a Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our clients are delighted with our services, as well as collaborate with team members in delivering those services.

Your role will be a permanent, full-time, salaried position with benefits.

  • The compensation will be between $40,000 and $65,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications, with participation in profit sharing and room for advancement. Your primary duties will include the following:

  • Take responsibility for the timely preparation of financial statements (compilation only) and tax compliance (e.g. T2, T1, T4/T5, tax elections, etc.) This will include preparing the tax returns, working papers and financial statements, as well as the necessary collaboration with our clients. It also encompasses helping our clients with tax and business questions that arise throughout the year, and corresponding with CRA.

  • Collaborate with our bookkeeping team to ensure punctual delivery of accurate monthly and quarterly filings and reports to clients, such as bank reconciliation, sales tax returns, interim financials, and such.

  • Assist with continuously improving processes for our team and our clients. This will include contributing to documenting the processes and implementing changes through sharing, training, and collaborating with other team members and clients.

About Us

Our “Why” is to help small business owners succeed and have a better life - however each one of them defines it. We do this by helping them automate, streamline, and delegate their day-to-day back-office operations in a way that increases the accuracy, the timeliness, and ease-of-access to their financial information (and other business information they need). The result? A business owner that has more time to focus on what they love, and that is better positioned to set goals and measure their progress towards reaching them.

We’re a small but growing team with big ambitions. You can expect lots of tech talk, flexible work arrangements, and to have a degree of involvement in big and small decisions.

Our team members have different roles, but we don't have ranks; we treat each other respectfully and willingly collaborate with each other.
